I run a natural hair page but a follower of mine inspired me to create this. She said she realized she didn't have enough clothes for an HBCU. If you attend an HBCU you know what she's talking about. If not, basically we like to dress cute pretty much every day at our illustrious institutions. Especially on Fried Chicken Wednesday. So while shopping for myself, I realized that I should share how I manage to get cute clothes for low prices. Especially because there is a 50% OFF SALE SITEWIDE all week long!!!! I put them here to make it easier to access from a desktop instead of mobile. Plus this as a thread on twitter would have been too long. Also its is easier to order from Aliexpress on a laptop in my opinion.

How to order responsibly from aliexpress* (on desktop mode):
1. Look in the top left corner where the name of the store is located. In red letters, you will see how long the shop has been in business. If you do not see any red letters this shop has been in business for less than a year so be careful. I like to shop with places that have been open for 2+ years.

2. In the same corner, look at the percentage of feedback. Make sure that is over 90%.

3. If a store hasn't been in business long and doesn't have extensive feedback, find the product that you want and look at the order numbers. Then look at the reviews.

4. If you can't find good reviews, business years or feedback and you still want to buy from the seller you should message them. If they are reputable they will provide a good answer and a photo if you ask for one. Stay away from the ones who pretend that they don't know what you're talking about or that seem like they don't want to cooperate.

5. If a product is new on a seller's site, there won't be very much feedback, orders or reviews on it. Look in the top left corner and see how long they have been in business. If its been a substantial amount of time you'll be fine and you can always message them and tell them to send a photo of the product.

6. I've been ordering from Aliexpress since my Freshman year of college. If you have an issue with a seller or product you can always message them and ask for a refund. They don't want bad reviews so they do accommodate. Ask for the refund BEFORE you put a bad review. Get your money, then be honest in the reviews to warn others.

*All of the products I'm showing are things that I have and stores that I have ordered from so you will be fine. This was just in case you venture off in to other parts of the site.
**I do not buy shoes from aliexpress. I do not have any advice for that other than read the reviews.


Go ahead and open a new tab and sign in or register (takes 1 minute). As you see things that you like add them to your cart as it is really easy to lose things. Sometimes the site will switch to a different language. Save whatever you are looking at by putting it in to your cart. In the top right corner click go to global site and everything will be in english again. (You dont need this tip if you dont speak english, aliexpress does change to almost every language)
